Chief Financial Officer (CFO) | Financial Services
Cape Town
The CFO will lead financial strategy, governance, and operations for the Financial Services division of the organisation, focusing on building processes from scratch, ensuring compliance, and driving sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop financial governance, controls, and processes.
- Provide strategic financial leadership to the Executive Committee and Board.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, IFRS, tax laws, and governance standards.
- Manage capital adequacy, liquidity, and funding per Prudential Authority guidelines.
- Lead risk management, investor relations, and stakeholder engagement.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and foster team development.
- Collaborate on new opportunities, acquisitions, and digital financial systems.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA (SA)) qualification.
- 15+ years of financial leadership experience, with 8+ years at senior/executive level.
- Expertise in banking regulations, IFRS, corporate governance, and risk management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
