Private Equity-backed mining support equipment manufacturer seeks strategic supply chain lead to drive operational excellence:

The Opportunity

Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the entire supply chain function. Lead procurement, inventory management, MRP systems, logistics, and fleet management while optimising costs, improving efficiency, and ensuring uninterrupted supply to meet production schedules and customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery
• Lead strategic supplier negotiations and build strong supplier partnerships
• Oversee stores operations, inventory control, and stock optimisation
• Manage and maintain MRP systems for accurate demand forecasting and material planning
• Oversee inbound/outbound logistics, including cross-border operations
• Drive cost optimisation and supply chain risk management
• Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or related field
• 8-10 years progressive supply chain experience in the manufacturing sector
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations
• Strong MRP/ERP systems proficiency
• Experience with cross-border logistics and customs processes
• Manufacturing environmental experience essential
• Advanced knowledge of supply chain principles and inventory control
