Introduction

My client is a Group (based in Jhb South), comprising 3 companies; their core business is the design and manufacture of customised mining support and firefighting vehicles across Africa. By constructing and assembling unique vehicle bodies suited for mining, firefighting and emergency response use, they play an essential role in improving operational performance and workplace safety in Africa's most demanding industries.

They are looking to appoint a seasoned finance leader - CA(SA) or CIMA - to professionalise it's finance function and drive the business forward.

Duties & Responsibilities

An experienced candidate will be appointed as a key member of the management team to lead financial strategy, operations and systems, and will be mandated to enhance and optimise the finance infrastructure while managing risk, funding and growth.

The scope of the role is comprehensive; leading the full finance function.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• CA(SA) or CIMA with a minimum of 10 years experience as a divisional CFO or Financial Manager
• Solid understanding of engineering, manufacturing operations and cost structures
• Exposure to an entrepreneurial environment, ideally private equity-backed or high-growth with proven skills in treasury, debt and cashflow management
• Experience in ERP implementation and financial technology tools / systems
• Previous Sub-Saharan African responsibilities; risk in international trade and high-value contracts would be ideal
