Large bank is looking to appoint an Operations Manager to manage and optimise full operations for the mid-corporate client segment.

A candidate with a strong audit / risk / compliance background is required to manage multiple centralised and decentralised commercial banking sales and service teams and to ensure that the departmental and cluster targets are aligned to the strategic objectives of the broader bank.

The Operations Manager can be based in any province and will have a hybrid work model with requirements to be office based (in one of the regional offices) once or twice a week.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • drive process management, service delivery and continuous improvement of service processes and procedures
  • establish and implement  frameworks, standards and policies.which are well aligned to regulatory and legislative requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • a tertiary qualification in banking, finance, audit or compliance
  • significant experience in banking, specifically business banking
  • 5 to 8 years experience establishing controls, risk mitigation initiatives and frameworks to deliver exceptional service to a client segment with complex banking requirements
  • ability to manage relationships with clients, service providers and internal stakeholders
