Leading FMCG organisation is looking for an admitted attorney and seasoned general counsel to join the Group Legal function.

Reporting to Exco (Chief Legal Officer), the General Counsel will primarily be mandated with:

• leading the execution and monitoring of compliance frameworks, driving compliance with applicable national and international laws, industry regulations, and internal standards
• managing all key regulatory advisory functions; facilitate industry engagement, and maintain visibility with regulators to support the business's legal, regulatory, and operational needs
• managing litigation, dispute resolution, and specialized services to mitigate legal risks
• leading the AML Program
• managing Intellectual Property: Administer the Group's intellectual property portfolio, including managing outsourced service providers and resolving disputes

We are looking for an admitted attorney with at least 8 years’ experience in compliance-related management role, preferably in the consumer goods sector (of which the last 3 should be in a senior compliance position). Ideally the candidate whould have regulatory and food law and intellectual property law experience, and working knowledge of competition and trade law. Proven capability to collaborate, engage, inspire, and influence multiple stakeholders at all levels, particularly in contexts involving disputes and litigation matters.
