A respected national institutional trade association is looking to appoint an experienced Company Secretary | Head of Legal, Compliance & Risk to partner directly with the CEO and Board.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an accomplished governance professional who thrives at executive level and enjoys operating at the intersection of corporate governance, legal advisory, compliance, and enterprise risk management.

Key responsibilities include:

• Serving as Company Secretary to the Board and its Committees
• Advising the CEO, Executive Committee and Board on governance and legal matters
• Leading the legal, compliance and enterprise risk functions
• Ensuring adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements
• Managing corporate governance frameworks and Board processes
• Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and legal documentation
• Overseeing external legal counsel and regulatory engagements
• Driving organisational ethics, compliance culture and risk management initiatives.

• A relevant Legal degree (NQF 7 or equivalent)
• Admitted Attorney
• At least 5 years' management experience
• Strong Company Secretarial and corporate governance expertise
• Experience advising Boards and Executive Committees
• A solid understanding of legal, compliance and enterprise risk management
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
